Tonight Bryan McGuire, Municipal Standards Officer, stopped by my house to investigate my complaints regarding the lights shining directly into my residence. He noted that the lights are visible on my walls and that the equipment also shines lights inside of my house. He assured me that he would issue a 30 day notification and that the scrap yard would have to take steps to prevent the lights from shining directly into my house. As far as the lights on the building, they may get away with installing baffles or pointing them away from my house however, the large crane that operates in the yard also casts light through my windows. This will have to be addressed as well. This could be a small victory for us, the home owners of Westbury Cres.
